Eva era una niña rubia de ojos azules, que fue mi amiga y compañera de juegos, y símbolo de mis veranos infantiles.

En cuanto llegaba a S’agaró, ayudaba más o menos a limpiar la casa, me calzaba las bambas o me iba descalza a llamar a la verja de su casa, gritaba su nombre y entonces salia ella, con sus rizos rubios de princesa. Le decia a su mamá en un idioma que no entendía algo cómo que estaba saliendo, y en ese momento preciso empezaba el verano. Andabamos como mugre y uña, eramos la mulata y la rubia, el yin y el yang.

Jugabamos de todo: cazar mariposas, marearse en los columpios, construir castillos de arena e ingeniosos sistemas de drenage del agua de la ducha publica hacia el mar. Fue con ella que aprendí a ir en bici como los mayores, sin las dos rueditas laterales. Mi bici era azul, la de la Eva, roja, pero salvo el color, el modelo era identico. Merendabamos pan con nocilla, saltabamos comba en la noche (debajo del puente, hay una serpiente, con ojos de cristal, para ir al hospital, quiere Ud salir, si o no?), y cuando tocaba ir a dormir, nos tenian que meter a la fuerza en casa.

Si nos cansabamos de correr, nos volviamos artistas: llenabamos los frascos de yogurt “La Lechera”, que entonces eran de vidrio, con sal colorada. Sobre las baldosas del patio, que por cierto terminaban hechas un cristo, le dabamos a la sal con tizas de colores. A medida que se terminaba con un color, se le hechaba la sal a una hoja de papel, y con esa hoja de papel se vertia la sal en el frasco.

Así era que terminaba el frasquito con un dibujo de olas de color superpuestas, bastante monótono, pero increiblemente lindo para unas niñas de 6 años. Eva me regalaba las suyas, y yo las mias.

En medio de toda esa felicidad, y como suele pasar en las mejores amistades del mundo, no escapamos de las vicisitudes de la vida. Hubieron momentos dificiles, como cuando el Benji (el perro del Caetano) se robó a los pollitos, y encontramos a uno de ellos sobre el camino, bañado en un mar de hormigas. O cómo cuando se me olvidó cómo funcionaban los frenos de la bici a causa del panico, y termine encastrada en el muro de la casa de la Marta (maldita sea). Nos castigaron varios dias por exceso de velocidad. 

También hubo alguna que otra pelea, porque la Eva algo de caprichosa sí era, y yo también, asi que podia pasar que chocaramos, pero siempre era pasajero y rara vez pasaba más de media hora antes de que ella o yo fueramos a llamar al portal de la otra.

Era la época feliz del barrio, todos los vecinos se reunian en el patio de mi casa para comer sardinas y carne a la parrilla, y sonaban los Gipsy Kings. No eran tanto las sardinas. Lo que más nos gustaba a la Eva y a mi era llenar de Fanta o Coca-Cola el envase de cubitos, meterlo al congelador con un mundadiente en medio de cada casilla, y comerlo como helado, a sabiendas de que si sabía tan rico, es porque nosotras mismas lo habiamos elaborado.

El recuerdo de la inocencia debe ser algo así cómo los frascos de sal colorada, que perduran através de los años, colocados en la estanteria del comedor.

Y lo bueno con lo de la Eva, es que nunca tuvimos que manchar todo aquello con una despedida dolorosa.

Un año llegué a la verja, y cuando llamé salio un muchacho que nunca habia visto antes, y todavia lo oigo cómo en sueño anunciarme de que la Eva ya no vive ahi.

Que linda que estás, sos un caramelo
te veo en el recreo y me vuelvo loco,
todas las cosas que me gustan, tienen tu cara
y espero los asaltos, así juego a la botellita con vos,
mi bomboncito.

Que excitante que estás, tendrías que saberlo
esa cola es la manzana mas buscada,
y esos senos el alimento de mi creación,
quisiera arrancarte un día y morirme en un telo con vos…
o quizás en un auto.

Han pasado cinco años, asumiste las cosas
hace tiempo que estoy buscando mi verdadero yo,
hay una especie de simbiosis, lo dijo mi psicóloga
haría bien a la terapia alejarme un tiempo…
unos setenta años.

Como estás querida tengo esposa e hijos
de vez en cuando hablo con ella y hasta hago el amor,
no es que quiera molestarte, pero me es imprescindible
sentarme en un café, y soñar un poco…
y tal vez amarnos.

Y ha pasado mi hora, quién robo mis años,
cambio a toda esta familia por un segundo con vos,
si te veo ahora, aunque termine en un hospicio,
tomo una botella…y juego a la botellita con vos.
